The abstract view of the world

Today I will begin by talking about the relationship between your view of the world, your conventional view of the world, and the somewhat abstract view of the world which I have described [to] you in terms of you generating your experience through your perception. Now I have referred to that view as abstract, the one in which you understand your experience to be a product of your perception, and that your perception is in effect a kind of virtual reality, it is a stream of sensory input that you generate, and I have said that this view is somewhat abstract.
What I meant by abstract is that in relation to your more conventional view of the world in which you seem to function, in which there is cause and effect, and in which you experience interactions with other individuals which generally you accept as being the true expression of them. And in this very conventional view of the world the idea that you generate your experience through your perception in the manner I have described does likely seem abstract.
Nevertheless that so-called abstract view is the more correct view, it is in fact the correct view. In a manner of speaking, from the perspective of you as essence, it is precisely what you are engaged in.
Now I have also recently stated that in terms of the application of this knowledge, that is the knowledge that you generate your experience with your perception, it is not a simple matter of changing your perception in whatever manner you wish, at any given point and therefore magically generating experiences of your arbitrary choosing. And as I have explained the reason for this is that you have many, many beliefs that are contrary to that kind of experience and additionally you have engaged this dimension in this focus for the particular purpose of experiencing in a way that is consistent with the blueprint for this dimension.
Therefore some may wonder as to what practical purpose there may be in even understanding the way in which your perception operates, for if it is as challenging as I have described, or as it may appear to be, then it may seem to many that this knowledge is not of any great practical purpose.
Now, to begin, one of the purposes of engaging these physical dimensions is that they offer you an avenue for creative expression and one way for you to view your experience in your physical world is that you are, let us say, an artist and the medium in which you express your art is the physical world. If you were to simply manifest whatever you wish there would be no challenge in that and more importantly there would be little satisfaction in that for it would take no effort and there is little creative expression in that.
Let me provide an analogy: suppose there is a sculptor and this sculptor creates his art in stone, he produces stone sculptures of great beauty and great complexity and the working with the stone is not easy, it is quite challenging for most, however this artist has developed his talent for working in that medium over time and he has become quite proficient with it. Additionally the artist is quite creative and the sculptures that he creates have artistic appeal to those who view them. Now when individuals go to see the artist’s work, let's say in a museum, it is easy for them to appreciate the work of the artist, they can see the challenges that the artist has overcome, they can appreciate the care and effort that went into creating the sculpture as well as the artistic expression in the particular sculpture, that is perhaps it depicts some individual in a particular manner that is evocative in some way. These things are fairly evident then, not only to the individuals that come to appreciate the artist’s work, but also to the artist as well, for the artist now has a sense of satisfaction in having created this work of art.
Imagine that instead the artist had used one of your 3-D printing technologies and instead of taking many months perhaps to create the stone sculpture the artist simply used your technology to build a likeness of the same sculpture but in plastic and using the technology to produce the sculpture. And as you can imagine the effort for doing this is considerably less, perhaps not entirely void of creative expression, however you likely can appreciate the difference. And if the artist was then to take this plastic sculpture that he created on his 3-D printer and placed it in the museum most likely the level of appreciation that others would have with the work of art would be much diminished from that of the stone sculptor. Indeed the artist that created the sculpture in plastic would not have the same sense of satisfaction and would not have experienced to the same degree creative expression.
Now clearly the analogy I am making here is with on the one hand generating your experience and those things you wish to create in more conventional manners as compared to magically making them appear. And what I am trying to convey then is that there is a purpose for engaging your physical world in what may appear to be more challenging ways than simply engaging your perception directly and creating the imagery of your choice. And this again is the reason why as you progress through your shift in consciousness you will not be fundamentally changing the manner in which you function in the world, it will still be a very physically oriented dimension in which you perform your actions and experience your experiences in very objective manner for the most part.
However again your knowledge of the mechanics of your perception and your knowledge of what is in fact occurring is beneficial to you in that it provides you motivation to express yourself in directions that you might have previously considered impossible, for it would seem that there are physical limitations to the way in which you may express yourself or in how you may experience your world. Therefore with that knowledge of your perception and how it operates you allow yourself greater latitude. Even though you continue to interact with your world quite objectively, as a result of your shift you will have considerably widened your choices in what you may engage, in what you may experience.
Now I have for you a small exercise in perception, an exercise in altering your perception which some of you may find interesting. To begin imagine a universe, a physical universe in which there are two planets some distance apart and for this simple introduction you need not add any other matter into the universe, there is simply a universe that consists of two planets and on the surface of one planet is a spaceship and the spaceship wishes to travel from that planet to the other planet in this universe.
Now you may imagine then the spaceship leaving the surface of the planet and traveling in the direction of the other planet and arriving there sometime later. Suppose however that instead of perceiving that scene which you are viewing from outside the universe as an observer, suppose instead that what you are viewing is not the spaceship traveling from one planet to the other, instead you are viewing the spaceship being the center of the universe and that the universe shifts in such a manner and direction that the planet the spaceship was initially on moves away from the spaceship and the other planet moves towards the spaceship. In other words, imagine that the spaceship remains stationary and the universe shifts so that the planets move and one planet moves away from the spaceship while the other planet approaches the spaceship. It is as if the entire framework of the universe is shifting relative to the spaceship.
Now as you can see in this experiment it is indistinguishable to you as an observer from outside universe whether the spaceship has traveled between the two planets or whether the planets have moved and the universe has shifted so that the spaceship arrives at the other planet. There is in fact from your observation point outside universe no way to tell the difference and in fact the two experiences are entirely identical. If instead of an observer you were the occupant in that spaceship your experience would again be identical.
Now as a simple exercise then, imagine as you go about your movements in your everyday life that when you move from one point to another, whether that be by walking or by using a vehicle or some other means, imagine then that what is actually occurring is that you are the center of the universe and the universe is actually moving and shifting so that the location of the universe relative to you is changing. And you may do this experiment and consider what subject feelings you have about that.
Now the purpose of this exercise is to foster some flexibility with your perception for in a very real sense you are the center of your universe, for the universe and all that is about you is what you have generated with your perception. Therefore your motion within this universe need not be considered to be the result of your physical actions, let's say, with your feet or with a vehicle, you may equivalently perceive that your universe is shifting and you are remaining in one location. It is true that you still need to engage in action to do this, such as walking, however you can easily imagine that as you move your legs and as to walk that what actually is occurring is that the universe is shifting beneath your feet. And by noticing your subtle shift in perception as you take on this view you will be developing a somewhat more flexible approach towards how you view your world and this might assist you with you being able to have additional flexibility with your perception.
